Become a donor

As a non-profit organisation, the A. G. van Hamel Foundation for Celtic Studies (Dutch: Stichting A. G. van Hamel voor Keltische Studies) depends on the donations of its supporters to help carry on its mission. Although our audience largely consists of Dutch speakers, anyone who wishes to support us is more than welcome to become a donor of the foundation. All donors receive a copy of our yearbook Kelten: Jaarboek van de Stichting A. G. van Hamel voor Keltische Studies; they are also entitled to discounts on various events organised by the foundation, such as the annual Celtic Colloquium and the Van Hamel Lectures; and contribute to the support of our various other activities, including our online journal Kelten and the CODECS database. We welcome your love and support!

How to become a donor of the Foundation

Becoming a donor is easy:

Step 1. Choose the donor status that applies to you

Individuals become a donor by transferring (at least) € 28 a year to the bank account below or, if you live outside the Benelux, € 34 a year.

Members of Asterix, the student association of Celtic Languages and Culture in Utrecht, are entitled to a discount of € 8, which comes down to a payment of € 20 a year instead. To register and claim your discount, please contact Asterix directly. Don’t forget to sign up for the newsletter, or ask Asterix to do it for you.

Museums and other institutions outside the Benelux can become a donor for at least € 76 a year. For those within the Benelux, the fee is € 67.50 a year.

For those who can and want to do more, there is also the option to become a 'Patron Benefactor' for € 90 a year, or become a 'Benefactor for Life' by making a one-off payment of € 450. The names of these benefactors are credited in our journal Kelten, if they so wish. The same applies to special donations.

Step 2. Register as a new donor

New donors are requested to register with the following form (recommended), or alternatively, send an email with their address details to penningmeester@vanhamel.nl.
